Robots Eating Robots began with a moment that felt almost too small to contain what it became.

In March, we hosted our very first gathering — an intimate private experience called The Gathering, held at The Crater in Stellenbosch. With just 80 guests, it wasn’t built as a large production or a commercial event. It was something more personal: a shared space for music, connection, and presence. A test of an idea that had been growing for years.

What we discovered that night was simple but powerful — when the right people come together in the right space, something shifts. Time softens. Sound becomes language. And a group of strangers can feel like one organism moving through the same frequency.

The Grounding Festival is the next step in that journey.

It is a continuation of what was started in Stellenbosch, but also a breaking of new ground as we step into a new venue and a wider vision. Still intimate. Still intentional. But now with deeper roots, expanded space, and a stronger foundation for what this experience wants to become.

This is not about scale. It is about depth. About grounding ourselves again in sound, in nature, and in each other.
